I confirmed with Pentair Aquatics, who acquired
Rainbow-Lifegard, that the Quiet One pump that has been
around for years as the Rainbow Quiet One (Model R175254V
and R175254H) is indeed discontinued. But they still have
stock on hand if you call 800-628-8771.
A line of pumps with the Quiet One name is now produced, in
various sizes. The model 4000HH (high head) is intended as
the more or less direct replacement for the venerable, but
now discontinued model.
You can still find the old model "new-in-the-box" on Ebay,
once in a while.
