The moon lights I am referring to are probably the diode type Scott
mentioned, but they are not red, but whiteish gray, in an attempt to simulate
moonlight. The purpose for reefers, besides any night viewing, is supposedly to aid
spawning in corals, although that is once a year for most of them, I believe.
