Amano Shrimp and fertilizer

Greetings all,

I saw a post about Daphnes amano shrimp dying.

She mentioned them cruising about the tank with eggs.

My question is...are they easy to spawn?

They sell for around $2.50 each in the LFS.

My other question is...have any of you ever used a syringe or something
similar to inject liquid fertilizer into the substrait around plant roots?

Just curious.
