Slashdot will have a story on the Novak lawsuit soon.
In light of the news about lawsuit #3, I submitted a story to Slashdot about the lawsuit. Within minutes, it was accepted, and although it hasn't appeared on the site yet, it should sometime today.
Here's the FIRST story Slashdot ran about the lawsuit, back in April:
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/04/04/1459235&commentsort=3
When that story ran, Novak's server was pounded into oblivion by the Slashdot Effect for about a day, and I know that PW received a lot of harassing communication because of the story. Slashdotters are so uncivilized. It's beautiful.
The story I submitted links to the petsforum/psw site and the thedefensefund.org site, so the owners of those sites should be advised that there'll be a heavy traffic spike soon if the story goes up on the front page of Slashdot. I don't know whether it'll be on the front page, or just in the "Your Rights Online" section, but either way, I'm glad Slashdot accepeted it. It was probably because I used Slashdot magic buzzwords like "Google", "free speech", and "lawsuit".
I hope that I'm not thought cowardly for posting the story under this pseudonym. It's not that I'm afraid of getting sued, rather, I want to see if Novak is stupid enough to think this is my real name and wind up filing a lawsuit against a cartoon character as a result. Every NGE fan in the world would find that hillarious.
I realize that this is probably more topical to the forum on Compuserve, but my browser doesn't agree with all the javascript/frames on that site. Maybe once the story goes up on Slashdot, somebody can post a link on the Compuserve forum.
