Since the smaller (often most useful) vinegar eels go right through a 
coffee filter, and that is too slow for most of us, the solution can be 
found at:

Scroll down a ways to find my method. There are others, such as soaking a 
scrubber pad in the eel culture and rinsing in the tank.
