Try looking into professional needle valves sold by Grainger (sp?),
McMaster-Carr, or through a local welding shop (which typically have
catalogs of parts over 6" thick and can order you something if need be). 
They're likely to actually be cheaper (and of higher quality) than the
ones available in many aquarium supply shops because they have lower
overhead, less need for high margins, a better selection, and a class of
clientele that won't settle for garbage.
