They have lot's of different kinds of traps. Maybe that double ended bucket
trap would work? Or check out http://trap-supply.hypermart.net/duke.htm
They have come conibear spring traps that are used for trapping beavers and
such. They're cheap, and maybe you could set a few of them up. You could
then at least catch him and then take him for a long car ride to some other
pond. I suppose you could even use a foot snare set up on a log in the sun.
The turtle will find the nice sunning spot and get his foot caught.
