If the diameter of the pipe is not too large then colored shower-curtain rod
covers work really well. These are thin plastic tubes that come in six-foot
lengths and are usually available at local department stores. Simply cut to
length and snap over the existing pipe (or shower-curtain rod) I like black
the best.
