too much iron?
Is there any danger / harm that can come to fish and plants from "iron rich"
water?
The tap water (city water) at my new home often comes out a nice tan color
(lots of Fe) other times it comes out a nice cloudy white from what I assume
is calicum in some form (it settles after a few hours).
I know the calicum raises PH and buffering, which is OK (i think) because I
use peat in my filters and also inject diy co2 in small amounts.
The iron is my main concern ... we have so high a concentration the city
freely supplies RED-OUT for using in water softeners and washing machines.
I know plants like iron, but do they "really really" like it... how about
the fish ... do they get scales of steel after a while?
