I live in Pretoria, South Africa. I have had plants tanks for eight years, and yes there are a lot of places that you can get crypts. The best place for plants in Pretoria is a place called Wonderboom aquarium. There number is 012 567 4272. There you will find most every plant that you can get in this backward country.

The guy there will help you get almost anything and if you become a regular he will specially order a couple of things for you. Good luck getting started in plant tanks in SA. There is almost nothing commercially available and you will find that you have to build everything from scratch. We are at a huge disadvantage to our overseas counterparts but with some ingenuity you can make your tank work.
