IME the only way to not see those adventitious roots is to do what Cavan 
suggested: put them behind wood. In my 125 the bottom 6 inches of the plant 
is behind a big chunk of African Rootwood. When it gets growing across the 
surface, give it a haircut. Every few months I pull out the bottom part and 
replant the tops, as it can get top heavy with all the branching from 
repeated trims.
