A Correction for the lighting post: Light compensation point is where
respiration = assimilation generally or more formally: irradiance level at
which the rate of CO2 assimilation in photosynthesis is balanced(= to) by
the rate of of CO2 production in respiration. If a plant falls below this
point for good, it's doomed.
