Some of the best lighting is ordinary shop lights. They last just long
enough to make the expense not outstrip the benefit, and you can get them in
different wattages [ which are standard according to the length of the
bulb]. In the face of unsatisfactory aquarium lighting I would tend to give
them a try, although I must confess I never have. Too chicken.
