gfci

Not sure why you want to install a GFI as most power strips have a surge
protector fuse in them. If were to drop your hairdryer into your fish tank,
the surge would 'pop' the fuse in the power strip (if it has one). GFI's are
great, but if the circuit has a lot of other outlets or lights on it, you
may find it kicking off a lot! That can be bad and annoying. Bad, if the GFI
kicks out as you leave for a long day. Annoying, if you're at home and every
time you switch a light on the GFI kicks out and needs to be reset.

They are easy to install. Just shut the power off to the existing outlet and
then wire it in.
