Re: about KH buffering capacity

Wayne Wah from Singapore:
"Hello everyone,

Forgot to ask another question.

I tested my water for KH and pH. I was then told that peat in my filter
would invalidate the KH buffering capacity and the KH, pH and CO2
relationship.

I can remove the peat in the filter easily. What else spoils the KH, pH and
CO2 relationship and invalidate the KH buffering capacity? All help is
appreciated."

Hello Wayne,
Peat do not "invalidate" KH buffering capacity. Peat merely releases humic
acids which will lower the KH.

KH, pH and CO2 relationship do not get affected.
