Yes you can keep Discus in an unfiltered tank! Maybe 2 or 3 discus in 1000 
gallon tank full of plants might work! The trick of filterless tanks is in 
the size of the tank in relation to the fish. Discus being big fish would 
need a really big tank to live without the aid of a filter. Filterless tanks 
are for small fish unless you have an unlimited budget and unlimited room for 
indoor lakes!
