Chalky Java Fern

I recently turned my shadowy ten gallon java fern
choked mess into a serious planted tank (like I said
before) and upgraded the lighting from 1 15 watt NO to
one 36 watt 6400k PCF.  I kept one java fern in there
and it has gone from its normal dark green to almost
white.  All nutrients are where they should be,
although phosphate ran a bit low today.  I at first
thought it was light shock, but I have occasionally
seen it in very low light tanks.  Weird.  It doesn't
sound like any nutrient deficiency I know of.
