Hi, OK, here's the answer: William T. Innes in the 1948 edition of "Exotic Aquarium Fish" had one page devoted to a picture and text about Jordanella floridae. The popular name was, he said - Flag Fish. So let it be as it was then written. BTW, the coloration of some of the males suggests a confederate flag to me. Bill
