Dunno about the lobster, but the thai crab is pretty cool. Can't keep him in
a planted tank though... He will snip the plants off at the substrate in a
few days (ask me how I know!).
I kept mine with a jewel cichlid and a Synodontis cat. The cichlid would
mess with him once in a while, sometimes damaging or removing a leg. Which
is why I don't have either anymore.
Right after I got the crab, he got out of the tank. I was going nuts trying
to find him, not wanting a dead, smelly, crab on the floor somewhere. Found
him on the patio. He had my 2 cats cornered!! Claws up, covered in cat hair,
the cats were trying to find a way around him. LoL
Nothing like having your pet teach your spouse's pets some humility.
Muhahahahaha

Subject: Crustaceans
hi all,
lately i've been seeing some not so common crustaceans showing up lately.
just
wondering what you know or what your experiences are with these animals:
australian blue lobster: can they be kept with other fish? or are they
predators?
thai devil crabs: does anyone know anything about these? they are rather
large, about 4-5" (10-12 cm) in width. peaceful? predatory?
harlequin lobster:????
any info appreciated. thanks.
