Handy tool for removing "floaters"

I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a handy tool that I discovered
a while back that is perfect for skimming large particles from the water's
surface; a "permanent" coffee filter that I picked up at the grocery
store. It is a plastic, cup-like "strainer" with a very, very fine nylon
mesh. I bought it to remove an infestation of duckweed about a year ago
and I was able to completely eliminate the duckweed in a short time by
taking a regular cup, scooping up duckweed and water and pouring it through
the coffee filter. It worked like a charm. I've also used it to remove
floating debris and the like. It removes surprisingly fine, solid
particles but has much higher flow than a paper coffee filter. I paid
about $3 for it.

Just thought I'd share.
