I understand where you are coming from but I have to disagree.
To me this whole suit is about just that, someone trying to force us to keep
quiet and not express a negative opinion. I also don't think a bunch of
rules will help, in fact as earlier stated they might make it worse.
If we keep quiet, Mr. Novak's way of doing things has won regardless of
whether he wins the suit or not. I've had friends tell me I had better take
the Defense fund banner off my web site. I won't.
When I first heard of the suit I researched the archives and read all of the
posts that offended Novak. In retrospect some of the phrases could have been
worded a little differently but......I feel they were just the frustrations
expressed by dissatisfied customers to their friends. Since when has that
been a crime ?
This whole thing should be called "Trial by Intimidation"
