I saw a pic of acicularis on the net, and asked the
grower about his conditions. I believe his light
level was about 8watts/gal. The acicularis was very
nice and very thick. I don't know if that was because
of the very high light levels, however.
Of course, the big risk of too much light is algae.
Also, your plants may take an unpleasant color if
there is too much light. But only experimentation
will tell.
