In my experience, CO2 is so cheap that if you don't have a patent leak, a 
tank will last a very long time.  You needn't worry about leakage from the 
tubing.

That being said, you DO need to worry about the tubing making a good seal 
where it is connected.  For that the Hagen silicone tubing is 
unsurpassed.  And at $30/250ft., it is cheap too.
