One more possibility to add to the long list sent by Nick Wise would be the
moss genus,Mnium, Species possibly punctatum.  I have a copy of Fassetts, A
Manual of Aquatic Plants, 1940, and there is an intrigueing drawing of
Mnium on page 41, but no mention of the genus in the text.  Compared to
drawings of Fontinalis on the same page, Mnium has much larger, more widely
spaced, leaves.  The Fontinalis looks like hairy green algae, but the Mnium
looks more decorative---more like the two-leaved variety of Hemianthus
favored by Amano.
