     The little worms you are seeing may be blood worms.  They usually find 
their way into the filter media.  I had this happen to me last summer in my 
200 gallon pond. One clue is if you see and small brown cacoon shaped things 
in the filter.  The goldfish should eat the worm as soon as they start 
swiming.
