Hi James,
You got a deal on your C. japonica: the only time I've been able to find
them in Ottawa, they sold for $7.99 each!! I have three in my 100 gallon,
which I see only rarely, but when I do, they are very often together. They
have, among others, 4 zebra loaches, 3 clown loaches about 4-5" long, and
four mature pearl gouramis as tankmates, and seem not to be bothered by any
of them.
