I just got on the list and saw this thread. I recently
added 3 discus about 3 inches or more in length to my
heavily planted 125. In this tank my ghost shrimp (ok,
they are not the famous algae eating ones) have been
reproducing frequently. While I don't see as many baby
shrimp as I did before, I still see quite a few. I
have even seen them swim by a discus with no response
from the discus. I feed the discus three times a day
so maybe they just are not hungry enough to chase the
shrimp, or maybe the ghost shrimp are not "tasty"?
