Top off valves

Anyone know of a small valve I could use for topping off a 10-gallon
tank?  I have a couple of brightly-lit tanks with fans that lose up
to a half-gallon a day.  It is difficult to go out of town.  I'm
worried I'll uncover the heater or some essential part of the filter
and come home to a disaster.
