Amozon Sword

Hello
       Has anyone ever had an Amozon sword plant reproduce.  I have two of 
them and on of them has a shoot coming off of it.  It has little nob like 
things on the sides of the shoot.  I was wondering if that is a new start 
and if so, how long would it be before the new plants start to grow.
