Say, does anyone have experience with low wattage MH lamps and magnetic
ballasts?  How loud would a typical cheap 70W ballast hum?  Something
like http://www.elights.com/methalbal70w.html
or its slightly more expensive but slightly more efficient dual-tap
version?

I was thinking about getting one (and a pulse-rated medium base socket)
to play with for use in a floor lamp.  Thanks.
