Since we've covered both Molar and charge/valence equivalence, I thought I'd
throw in one other oft- used definition for an "equivalent measure":

The quantity by weight of a substance that combines completely with 1 gram
of hydrogen or 8 grams of oxygen. Because of atomic weights, you can
consider the unit of measure as Moles rather than grams just as easily.

Probably more apropos to the context...
