One thing I noticed with my ph monitor is that it doesn't like to be submersed, it says it can but it doesn't work right. Also mine stays pretty steady, it doesn't fluctuate, and I haven't calibrated it for at least 6 months, it's probably off for sure, but it's steady. Pet Warehouse has replacement probes, I don't know how they compare in price though. Dustin
