I have read on at least one web site of someone using black mollies to remove surface film. It seems they constantly skim the water surface and remove this film. You may want to get a pair and see how they do. I'm always for trying a natural solution first and then going to man made solutions only if the natural solution does not work. Charles Hutchinson
