I have a red nymphae (bought at a petco for $2.50!) which produced leaves approx. 4-5 inches across. That is with 3 watts per gallon and fluorish. I avoid using tab fertilizer near the nymphae because I have read that feeding the nyphae will encourage it to send up pads. --Laurel
