New Australian Waterplant book

Hello All

The botanists of the Northern Territory Herbarium have written a book
titled "Floodplain Flora, a flora of the coastal floodplains of the
Northern Territory, Australia " . Ian Cowie, Phil Short and Monica
Osterkamp Madsen have penned a volume that describes in brief an overview
of the flood plain and the relationships between plants animals and
seasonal wet season flooding. The main part of the volume consists of
descriptions, illustrations and keys to enable identification of the more
than 300 species of plants that grow on the floodplainds of the TOP END of
DOWNUNDER.

The book includes an account of almost all fully aquatic plant species in
the Northern Territory including those not found on the floodplain. A
must for keepers of Australian Rainbows and anyone who wants to put
together an Australian biotype aquarium.
