Strange leaf growth on sword plant.

I have a sword plant that I got at the LFS.  They did not have it fully
named, just called it a sword.  It looks like Echinodorus grandiflorus on
the Tropica website.

The new leaves that grow do not full open, they uncurl partway and then seem
to stop opening.  They do grow larger but are deformed looking.  Any
suggestions as to what might cause this in terms of insufficient light, lack
of C02, nutrients etc?
