Thanks for the imput. I just measured the tank. It's  24"Lx 12"W x 16 3/4" H.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Also I am still on the lookout for a new fixture for more lighting but being a newbie, 
have no idea what to get. I am sortof scared at the prospect of having to wire 
something myself.
