T8 efficiency vs. temperature

According to a data sheet from Sylvania, a T8 bulb operates at 100%
efficiency between 22 and 27 C. At 30 C, efficiency drops to 97%, at
35 C to 91 %, and at 40 C to 85%. That's a lot. I'm thinking of using
a Radio Shack probe thermometer to check the air temp within the light
