Diluted KMn04 for Disinfecting Plants

I understand that Potassium permanganate in diluted form is an effective
treatment for incoming plants to ensure that no pathogens or snail eggs are
transmitted to the tank.

Diluted solutions of Potassium permanganate can be obtained by using Jungle
Labs' "Clear Water" (KMn04 present at 0.53%) or Wardley's "Clean Sweep"
(KMn04 present at 0.56%) products.

Now, my questions are:

- at these concentrations, how much should I add to a gallon of water?
- how long should I submerge my plants in this solution?
- should the length of time differ for more fragile plants?

Thanks! :)
