First, you must fix the nutrient balance in your tank which caused the
BGA to occur then treat the tank with H2O2.  If you don't identify and
rectify the imbalance, then the BGA will be back again.  I found
inadequate water circulation and elevated phosphates in my tank was the
culprit.

Try to remove as much as the BGA as possible by hand while treating the
tank.  I have seen 1 oz. H2O2 per 20 gal of water if fish are present.
