I read the same thing somewhere, but I can't recall what havoc those bubbles (or the gas) wreak on the fish. As I recall, they said it was not oxygen, but some other gas. In any case, it settles on surfaces and plant leaves until it dissipates. And I noticed a betta splendens *pearl* once after I put him in a 5 gallon tank filled with fresh water. Sylvia <>
