Has anyone on this list found a quick and easy, at least easier, method
of
trimming riccia. The trimming part usually only takes about 15 minutes
but
getting the riccia out of the water is a pain. I use a net but it's
still
pretty painful. TIA.

Dan,

This may help.  For this you will need a plastic disposable cup and a
bucket.  After rounding up the cut riccia as best as possible by hand,
push the cup into the water as far as possible without letting any water
enter the cup.  Moving the cup around the aquarium, tip it slightly to
allow water and cutting to flow into the cup.  Use of the bucket should
be obvious.  This method is effective in corners and along edges where
the trimmings seem to accumulate.
